As Canons Regular of the Immaculate Conception we are particularly devoted to our Blessed Mother. We also have a special devotion to Saint Joseph, the Husband of Mary, because of his humble obedience to God痴 will and his unselfish service to both Jesus and Mary. His inspiration is for us both an example and a model. Every evening after our Night Prayers we pray to Saint Joseph and we are convinced that by the means of his intercession we have been blessed in many ways.
In honor of the Solemnity of Saint Joseph, Husband of Mary (which occurs on March 19), we are continuing our tradition of celebrating this solemnity in a festive way. On Sunday, March 18, 2012 Fr. Thomas Dome, C.R.I.C., will be preparing an authentic Italian Pasta Dinner (served from 5:00 - 7:30 p.m.) here in Santa Paula. Tickets for this celebration are only $7.00 per person.
We are also holding our St. Joseph痴 Day Benefit Raffle which will be drawn on March 18, 2012: First Prize is $1,000.00, Second Prize is $500.00, Third Prize is $250.00, 5 Fourth Prizes at $100.00 each and 5 Fifth Prizes at $50.00 each. Suggested donations are only $2.00 per ticket (or a book of 10 for $15.00).
Please use one of the options below to either print a reply form and send it in the mail or use our on-line form. Please note how many will be joining you for the incredible Italian Pasta Dinner (dinner tickets are only $7.00) and we will have your tickets at the door of St. Sebastian痴 Parish Hall (at St. Sebastian痴 School) located at 229 North Olive St., here in Santa Paula. Also, if you request raffle tickets, we can either send them to you to fill out and you can use the return envelope provided or turn them in on the night of the dinner, or if your prefer, we will be happy to fill them out for you and send you the ticket stubs for your records.
If you would like to help us yet further, your donation to our Seminary Fund is important and greatly appreciated. Now, with our two seminarians who are presently studying at the Angelicum in Rome while residing in our Mother House, as well as our new postulants, we need your assistance more than ever. Please consider a donation to our Seminary Fund or perhaps even a monthly pledge of $5, $10 or $25 (or more!) which will help us counter the high costs of their seminary training, living expenses and health insurance. Thank you for helping these young men to reach ordination and in turn will return to our community here in Santa Paula to serve as Priests and Brothers.
Thank you so very much for your continued prayers and support for both our ministry here in Santa Paula and also for the growth of our community. May God bestow many blessings upon you for your generosity.
